About MCPCG
Background
The Mississippi Council on Problem and Compulsive Gambling (MCPCG) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by problem gambling. As an affiliate of the National Council on Problem Gambling, we remain completely gaming-neutral, focusing solely on prevention, education, and support—not on promoting or opposing gambling.
MCPCG brings together professionals from clinical, academic, and research backgrounds to increase understanding of gambling addiction as a serious and treatable mental health condition. We provide statewide training and education to social service agencies, community organizations, and healthcare providers, helping them recognize, respond to, and support those struggling with gambling-related issues.
We also operate Mississippi’s confidential, toll-free helpline, offering crisis counseling, guidance, and referrals for anyone impacted by compulsive gambling. Through advocacy, resources, and community partnerships, MCPCG works to ensure that help, hope, and healing are available to all Mississippians.
